The DiCE Mentoring Programme is based on the connection between the tutor and mentee being complementary in nature; empowering the partnership to make fundamental transformational change. The DiCE Mentoring programme will provide opportunities for individuals from under-represented groups (BAME, gender, LGBT+ and disabled staff) across the events industry to be paired with Mentors within the events industry or from other industries (if they ae student level to Senior Account / Project Manager level they get a mentor who is from within the events industry and if they are above this level, then they get paired with a Mentor from the private sector).
The aim here is to create an incredible union where information and comprehension of their lived experience are also utilised to influence positive change for both Mentor and Mentee. The partnership should directly impact the Mentee, allowing them to grow and flourish on both a personal and professional level. Their lived experience should also help the Mentor gain fresh insight, allowing them to influence change within their own organisation as well.
